So you'll be in the middle of a realistic looking flip or doing some kind of nice looking stunt, and one tire will brush the ground at an inopportune time, and the truck will just shoot off and do like 15-20 more moon-gravity-tier flips.Īlso, shit framerate and tons of load times/screens that just shouldnt be there.PlayStation Store welcomes the Games Under promotion, starting Wednesday August 17. Anytime a tire touches the ground, it acts like there is load placed on it. Most noticeable, however, is a massive tire issue. The same victory animation plays after every round, wasting a bunch of time. They advertised outdoor racing, but it's literally five waypoint tracks around the University compound. ![]() You can lap them in triple threat as well as the stadiums. So each event, you essentially do freestyle twice. Two Wheel Skills is redundant, because it's just a "highest single combo" challenge. Monster Trucks doing circles in a small arena with no jumps might be ok family entertainment for $20, but it is not fun in a video game. The Triple Threat championship is the worst form of racing I have ever seen implemented in any type of game. The Triple Threat series, as well as some of the stadium layouts, are just super boring. The problem lies part with Monster Jam itself, and part with Rainbow's lack of polish. Monster Truck Championship Extra 39.99 PS4 Monster Truck Championship Extra -70 11.99 39.99 PS4 Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 Extra 39.99 PS4 Add-on Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Kingdom -75 1.24 4.99 PS5 Track Monster Energy Supercross 4 - Historical Monster Energy Cup 2011 5. Accurate layouts, accurate event formats, even a full 3D cockpit view where the driver's thumb moves when you activate rear steer. Steel Titans actually gets the authenticity part right. Dating back to Maximum Destruction, they were always structurally sound games with minimal bugs, just far too childish for a lot of people's tastes. Traditionally, MJ games have been bad in the way that they never quite replicated the series. It's bad, but not the usual kind of bad we're used to. Sorry for the wall of text, I tend to go on these tangents. Also the MX vs ATV games have online so what the hell. Same basic mechanics and maps, but now you have players replacing the AI. However, for sports games, online is more of a side dish. For shooter games online is a whole new ballgame from the campaign, maps have to be built from the ground up and completely different game mechanics have to be implemented. However the best part of the scenario here is that, being a sports game, online is still entirely possible relatively soon. And when the game is relying entirely on single player, that’s not exactly great in terms of replay value. I’m afraid it’s going to get incredibly stale once I beat the campaign because the single player modes don’t really have that much replay value. Honestly the game desperately needs online more than anything. Gamestop didn’t even know what the hell I was talking about when I inquired about it. And the few that did had to go through multiple hoops to get it. But hell, we didn’t even get our preorder gold trucks. Solid vanilla lineup and it doesn’t hurt to have more. ![]() They did say there was going to be additional trucks, and that’s superb. But what the hell is a Bakugan Dragonoid? I remember the cartoon network show from like 10 years ago but why it’s being pushed by Feld so hard idek. Doing the lord’s work here, thanks for digging.īut oof, I mean we all knew fire and ice was coming.
